Don'y you just love running up to the gate just in time to see your flight (from Amsterdam to Berlin) just pulling away from the gate? Grrrrrr.

Wind turbine

It took me a few moments to figure out what these trucks were hauling but they are wind turbine blades. Bigger than I thought! Lucky to get the pictures with me going 70 in one direction and the truck traveling the other way.

Not so smart?

Our Nest of House Finches

House finches have made a nest in a Boston Fern on our front porch right outside a window. We have had a real close-up look at their activities.

My morning walks of 3 miles in Homer have amount to about 1000 miles a year so for 10 years of walking it can get a little boring. However, I have fun checking for cats looking out windows at Yoshi and I and here is one.

Some years ago I bought a big bag of peanuts and brought them to my office to share with all. It was a great way to bring together faculty and students in my office. I finally found a new source and you are all welcome to a handful but you have to stay and chat.
